Get ready to don your dirndls and lederhosen because Concordia College’s Annual Family-Friendly Oktoberfest is returning on Saturday, October 25, and it promises to be an epic celebration of German culture and community spirit. Running from 4pm to 8pm on the historic grounds of the Senior College, this year’s event is set to outshine last year’s festivities.
Expect all the classic Oktoberfest fun with a Toowoomba twist. Think bratwursts, pretzels, German beers, plus some quirky activities for all ages. There’s a ‘Best of the Wurst’ competition (featuring secret family recipes), a strong-person contest, a maypole, and a signature Oktoberfest Gin.
The event is jam-packed with live entertainment, student performances, and kid-friendly activities, from biscuit decorating to market stalls showcasing handcrafted goodies.
Capping off the night? A spectacular fireworks display. This is one community event you won’t want to miss. Prost!
