It’s almost the weekend and between anzac day commemorations and games of two-up, australian acting royalty and autumn picnics at the polo - there’s something for everyone.

1) COMMEMORATE: Anzac Day and visit the installation of 20,000 poppies and violets at the Mother’s Memorial, before trying your hand at a game of TWO-UP at Australia’s largest Two-Up ring, all in the name of fun. (Thu)

2) GO ‘RADIO GA GA’: for the legendary Queen Tribute, Bohemian Rhapsody, as they return with their latest extravaganza, Made in Heaven. (Fri)

HEAD TO THE POLO: for a day of sunshine, good food and the thrill of the game, at Darling Downs Polo’s Autumn Picnic at the Polo event (Sun).

4) GET A LITTLE MOULIN ROUGE: at this ‘cheeky’ costumed life-drawing Scribblesesh evening. (Sat)

5) LATHER ON THE HAIR-GEL: and embrace your inner 2000’s Pete Wentz with a night of gaming and healthy rivalry at this themed ‘Emo Night’ by Flipp’d arcade. (Sat)

6) CATCH: Australian acting royalty on the stage and head to the theatre for the thrilling stageshow The Women in Black, Britian’s second longest running play. (Sat)

7) RELAX: on the lawn with an afternoon of munchies, drinks and live music, before picking up some gifts for Mum at these ‘Nearly Mother’s Day’ Aberfeldy Markets. (Sun)

8) PICK UP A VENUS SLIPPER: (or another gift for Mum) at The Toowoomba Orchid Society’s two-day Autumn show, on this Saturday and Sunday and hosting hundred’s of Orchids, stalls, demonstrations and giveaways. (Sat & Sun)

9)  CATCH A GIG: at one of the many happening around town this weekend, like those by Mason Watts, Bart Thrupp or Sue Ray; or the latest album launch by Australian music icon Ian Moss. (All weekend)

10) LEARN A NEW SKILL: at one of the many workshops or classes on this weekend, such as this Blacksmithing Basics workshop, or these Beginner Ceramics Handbuilding classes, or these Discover the World educational sessions for children. (All weekend)
