The Mills Production

Where: 86 Russell Street, opposite Betros Bros
This family-owned store specialises in indoor and shade plants and boasts a colourful range of pots, big and small. Have a chat with friendly staff who’ll help you find that perfect plant for your space. Up for a nice drive? You can also visit The Mills Production’s barn shed located in Southbrook – and it’s simply a plant lover’s heaven.

Ruby Lane Flower Co.

Where: 5 Annand Street, near Walton Stores
If you’re a local, you’ve definitely seen Ruby Lane’s stunning bouquets on your Instagram feed, and for good reason. But did you know they also sell a range of house plants too? Whether it’s the ‘swiss cheese’ monstera or snake plant that’s more your style, you’ll find your next plant adoptee right here in this chic city store, as well as great homewares such as travel mugs, candles, and even cocktail mixes. Ruby Lane’s specialty, however, is everlasting bouquets of dried flowers, for those plant murderers out there wanting something that’ll stick around a bit longer (I feel you).

Local Markets

We’re pretty chuffed to have some awesome markets in Toowoomba that sell locally grown plants, flowers, fruits and vegetables – and better yet, they’re on every single week. The PCYC Markets, held every Sunday morning, are widely considered to be the cheapest possible way to load up on plants – perfect for plant lovers on a budget. There’s also the Toowoomba Farmers’ Markets held at Cobb + Co bright and early each Saturday, where you’ll find some of the region’s best growers setting up shop. Keep an eye on our calendar for all upcoming markets and plant sales happening locally.

Sungrown Seedlings & Nursery

Where: 17 Prescott Street
Sungrown is one of Toowoomba’s largest and most impressive nurseries, so don’t be surprised if you end up wandering around for an hour admiring the range. The store has plenty of shade-friendly plants for your indoor jungle, as well as veggie and herb seedlings. It’s truly a one-stop-shop: not only can you find plants, but you’ll also find everything you need to become a garden pro, with gloves, soil, and decorations a-plenty. You can check out our top picks for nurseries here if you’re also looking for outdoor plants.

Ever & Maple

Where: 100% online, or on the road!

Ever & Maple is a local florist that sells flowers in a special way: they’re mobile! You can spot the Ever & Maple crew cruising around town (and at the Toowoomba Farmers’ Markets!) in their super-stylish 1976 Kombi, which has been fitted out to sell flowers straight off the truck. Not only do they create gorgeous fresh and dried bouquets, they also stock indoor plants. What’s more, they offer same-day delivery on orders placed before 12.00pm: perfect for those surprise gifts for a loved one.
