The eighth edition of our newspaper will be out in local shops and cafés from this weekend.

Thanks to our advertisers – The Empire, Hot Property, MacDonald Law, The Work Quarter, Bonza and Toowoomba Regional Council – we have been able to pull together another jam-packed edition of local journalism and photography.

This edition is a full 32 pages packed with beautiful images and interesting stories from our region, and as always we have looked to uncover some hidden gems. It’s perfect for reading in the warmest space you can find.

Here’s a sneak peek of what you’ll find in Issue 08:

  • We talk to a local school principal and ultra-marathon runner about 400km trail runs, passion, motivation, and hitting the wall.

  • We peek inside a character-filled cottage owned by a local florist, filled with flowers, vintage pottery, rustic furniture and the perfect winter's firepit.

  • Nicole Yap explores the rapidly growing trend of tiny living, and discovers that far beyond just downsizing, for many it offers a way back to living a bigger, fuller life.

  • We meet local sheep and avocado farmers turned artisanal cheesemakers Di & David Piggot, and eat far too much cheese. . . because we can.

  • We speak to a local artist who talks all things creative block, keeping the fire and offers practical tips on how to keep that creative mojo flowing.

  • Berhard Kohlhuber of Fritz Pasta shares his perfect cool weather comfort food – Beef Ragu with Pappardelle Pasta.

  • And much more. . .

From this weekend, you’ll find free copies in local businesses (for a list of stockists, click here).

I hope you love it –
