Cult-Favourite Acai Brothers drops on the Northside
This purpose-fuelled brand with a cult following has landed on Toowoomba’s northside - and it’s not just about the açai.

Opening its doors as only the second Queensland location for Acai Bros, this new northside addition is already building momentum - and if early signs are anything to go by, it’s about to slot neatly into your weekly routine.
For owner Tracey, the journey to opening day has been almost two years in the making. After time spent in Brisbane, she and her husband found themselves drawn to the brand - not just for what was on the menu, but for what it stood for.
“We’d been looking for a while,” she says. “We wanted to bring something new to Toowoomba. We’d fallen in love with the brand during some time spent in Brisbane.”
Step inside and it’s immediately clear this isn’t your average grab-and-go. The space is clean, minimal and quietly confident - all soft curves, muted tones and that unmistakable ‘post-gym, pre-coffee’ energy. It’s the kind of place that makes a green smoothie feel like a personality trait.
“For me, it complements lifestyle - I love the gym, I love healthy eating.”
But don’t be fooled into thinking it’s all restraint and green juice. Yes, the açai bowls are the headline act - thick, vibrant and stacked with toppings - but the menu leans just as comfortably into the indulgent side of things.
Start with your base: classic açai, vegan chocolate (don’t skip this), or a natural option for something lighter. From there, it’s a full build-your-own situation. Tracey’s go-to? The Biscoff bowl - equal parts wholesome and chaotic, in the best way.
And soon, there’s more in the pipeline. A third machine is on its way, set to bring mango and strawberry bases into the mix.
Beyond the bowls, there’s a strong supporting cast. Smoothies - including a new collab range with celebrity Jules Neale - sit alongside a lineup of toasties that are already pulling their weight. The Reuben and Chicken Pesto are early crowd favourites, offering something a little more substantial when a bowl just won’t cut it.
Open seven days (7am–8pm, with late nights until 9pm on Thursdays), it’s built for whatever version of the day you’re having - early start, mid-morning reset, or an easy, feel-good dinner.
Order ahead, grab takeaway, or settle in - seriously, just don’t sleep on that Biscoff.
