Swing to Grant Wishes: X-Golf’s Starlight Swing Brings Joy Beyond the Green

If you’ve ever needed a reason to grab a club, rally your mates and jump into a round, the Starlight Swing is it. All November long, X-Golf venues across Australia are coming together to raise funds for seriously ill kids, with every $10 swing helping the Starlight Children’s Foundation bring joy, laughter and life-changing moments to families who are doing it tough.
The national goal sits at $33,500, which will grant five incredible Starlight Wishes, and the beauty of it all is that anyone can get involved. You don’t need to be a scratch golfer - or even particularly good. For a simple $10 donation, you can take on the nine-hole Starlight Swing course solo or play in a scramble with up to three friends.
To mark the fundraiser, X-Golf has reimagined the iconic Pirates Island Golf Course with a full Starlight redesign, working with their Korean manufacturer and the Starlight Children’s Foundation to create something bright, fun and immersive. Think cheerful colours, playful visuals and little moments of magic woven through the round - all crafted to bring the Starlight spirit to life.
This year’s campaign is also fundraising in honour of Lottie, a brave young girl navigating serious illness. For families like hers, Starlight offers pockets of light - moments of laughter and play in the middle of long hospital stays and treatments. When you play, donate or help spread the word, you’re helping create more of those moments for kids just like Lottie.
There are plenty of ways to get involved. You can play the Starlight Swing, join one of the special event nights, chip in to support the big national golf challenges, donate directly, or simply share your round on socials to help build the movement. Every bit counts.
Before you play, remember to book your tee time - allow at least 30 minutes per player - and check that your local X-Golf is a participating venue.
With more than $1,500 worth of prizes across all game formats, there’s plenty of fun built into the competition, but the real win is knowing your swing is helping grant wishes and bring joy where it’s needed most.
