Arguably, not-so-much about the horse racing and more-and-more a runway of spring fashion, glitz and glamour and pretty much just the perfect excuse for a cheeky long lunch and glass or two of your finest cuvée. . . there are few events that so famously hold the collective attention of the nation like the Melbourne Cup.
With only a few short weeks to go, whether you’re chasing canapes and champers, long-lunches and spring cocktails, or somewhere a little more understated to ahhh ‘watch’ the-race-that-stops-a-nation, we’ve rounded up all the local happenings this November.
The Spotted Cow | 11.30am – 2.30pm
Enjoy live entertainment, fasions of the field, lucky door prizes and a premium 3-course food and drinks package at The Cow.
Clifford Park Racecourse | 10.00am – 5.00pm
All the action on the big screen from Flemington and across Australia, as well as live, local racing! Celebrate Australia’s favourite race with a three-course sit-down meal in the Atrium, or enjoy casual canapes in the Winning Post or even secure your table on the front lawn so you won’t miss a minute of the action.
Tatts Hotel | 11.00am – 3.00pm
Enjoy Tatt’s bottomless Melbourne Cup with live entertainment, a 4 hour drinks package and all you can eat sliders, tacos, fish & chips, pork belly bites, prawns & oysters, charcuterie & sweetsOh and go in the draw to win a VIP corporate box experience to see Pink live.
Blue Mountain Hotel | 11.00am – 3.00pm
Watch the race that stops a national this year at the Blue Mountain. The $60 ticket includes grazing table with 3 hour drinks package. Enjoy fashions on the field, live music, sweeps and TAB facilities. Remaining tickets sold at the door.
Fitzy’s | 11.00am – 3.00pm
Gather your crew, dust off those heels and giddy up for Melbourne Cup 2023, coming to Fitzy's with two events to choose from; a (more) relaxed ‘Atrium Chill’ option and their more extravagent ‘Deck Party’. Both options include live music, and varying food and drink packages.

Indulge in a a day of fun, fashion, and fantastic food, at this gourmet long lunch at Aberfeldy Barn with the race on the big screen. BYO Adult Beverages.
George Banks Rooftop Bar | 11.30am – 3.00pm
Enjoy Melbourne Cup on the rooftop with live music, fashions of the field, gourmet canapes and seafood, and a four-hour drinks package.
