Classical music lovers and new admirers alike will delight in this enchanting evening with the familiar classics of Mendelssohn and Rossini, joined by special guest, violin soloist Catherina Lee.

BREWOOMBA 2023

SATURDAY, 05 August at 12.00pm

Toowoomba’s annual Craft Beer Festival Brewoomba is back for 2022. Featuring an extensive line-up of local and international craft beers, food trucks, live music and the infamous Balter Brewer ‘Tins of Glory’ Challenge. Not a fan of craft beer? There’ll be plenty of your favourite standards available, as well as cocktails and premium wines.

AN EVENING WITH THE OWLS

An evening at Awassi Cheesery:

“The night starts with Cheeseboards and Awassi lamb burgers and as the lights go down the Owls to take centre stage, the team teaching about these amazing creatures, as the Owl’s showcase their individual prowess and attendees get the opportunity to be up close and personal to these majestic birds. The evening finishes with an Awassi Ice Cream.

Homeless for a Night Charity Sleepout

This annual Charity event, the Homeless for a Night Charity Sleepout raises awareness of homelessness and much-needed funds for the Basement Soup Kitchen, to continue to aid and support to people experiencing or at risk of homelessness. Register for the above and hit the streets to support this amazing cause.

BLOOM WITH BODY ACCEPTANCE WORKSHOP

FUTURE VISIONS

FRIday, 11 August at 7.30Pm

Future Visions is an annual art award for high school art students from across the Darling Downs and Southeast Queensland.  The award and exhibition showcase the diverse, dynamic, multidisciplinary, and emerging professional approaches to artmaking by young people in the region.  Future Visions is open to applicants from grades 10 -12 and is currently in it’s 12th year.  This exhibition continues to attract a high calibre of emerging artists who are creating exciting and innovative art.

LUMINOUS IN THE REGIONS

Celebrate the cultural diversity of our local community with food and performances from around the world, and an opportunity to walk in the 2023 Lantern parade, spreading the message of welcome to newmembers of our community.

WORKSHOP: CREATING COMEDIC CHARACTERS

SATURDAY, 17 August at 6.30Pm

This two-hour workshop explores ways in to creating and developing characters starting from the body, through analysis of the world and how the body moves. Lead through a series of games, exercises and improvisations centred around play and movement, you will learn techniques to discover the infinite amount of characters we can all play. This work is grounded in the Lecoq pedagogy of mask theatre.

THE WIZARD OF OZ

17 & 18 August at 7.00Pm

Follow the yellow brick road in this delightful stage adaptation of L. Frank Baum's beloved tale, featuring the iconic musical score from the MGM film. The timeless tale, in which young Dorothy Gale travels from Kansas over the rainbow to the magical Land of Oz, continues to thrill audiences worldwide.

27th Historic Leyburn Sprints

Saturday & Sunday, 19-20 August

At only 50min from Toowoomba, we’re going to claim this as our own; The Leyburn Sprints are two days of racing, car and caravan shows, market stalls, and more.

A record 15,000 plus people descend on this scarcely populated rural town annually, for what is one of the most significant motoring events in Queensland and one of the State’s biggest regional events
