We heard you loud and clear: I need more time to plan my weekend! And with that, welcome to The Field Guide’s guide covering what’s happening in the month of April, so you’ve got time to lock in plans well in advance.

ECLIPSE LUNA LIGHT JOURNEY: 1 APRIL - 13 APRIL

A magical and award-winning LUNA Light Journey debuts in the iconic Queens Park. Journey through an enchanting spectacle of light and sound in the heart of the Botanic Gardens. Following his incredibly successful Life Upside Down 2023 Tour of Australia and New Zealand, Chugg Entertainment, Potts Entertainment and Frontier Touring are stoked to welcome Nashville-based, Aussie country star, Morgan Evans, home this April.

WOMEN IN BUSINESS BREAKFAST: 05 APRIL

Following the success of A Tale As Old as Rome, Friendlyjordies is back with his latest attempt to convince anyone who disagrees with him about very niche conspiracy theories is wrong. In this show, we move from Rome to Jordan’s latest hyperfixation - the Byzantine Empire. Come along for an hour of laughs and learn about obscure history at the same time.

Join in at ScribbleSesh, a chill eve of costumed Life Drawing. Have a sip, bring a pen, enjoy life drawing with a couple of twists. Featuring a new art model every session, share the love of art making with bespoke beer.

JESSICA MAUBOY | YOURS FOREVER TOUR: 11 APRIL

This homecoming tour from the Australian Idol star turned The Voice mentor is a celebration of her roots. Mauboy's new album Yours Forever showcases her authentic powerhouse vocals and personal storytelling.

SYMPHONY HILL WINEMAKERS’ ITALIAN DINNER: 12 APRIL

Join Symphony Hill’s Ewen Macpherson for a tour of some of the local winemakers’ finest wines alongside a delectable Italian dinner created by Gip’s Head Chef Craig Edser in conjunction with BellaVino’s Isobella Barber.

BEAUTY AND THE BEAST (BALLET): 12 & 13 APRIL

BUSINESS AT DUSK: MORT & CO: 16 APRIL

Join the Toowoomba Chamber’s 2023 Business Hall of Fame Winner, Mort & Co for the April Business@Dusk, at Wellcamp Airport which will incorporate the launch of the Business Excellence Awards 2024 proudly presented by the Toowoomba Chamber of Commerce.

2024 TOOWOOMBA ROYAL SHOW: 18 APRIL

The annual Heritage Bank Toowoomba Royal Show will return to the Darling Downs and includes an exciting line up of activities and entertainment from Pirate Jet Skiers to whip cracking experts, fireworks and carnival rides, there's something for the whole family.

COMEDY NIGHT AT BODEGA: 18 APRIL

Down To Clown is back for 2024, at our new home; Bodega and it’s time for a new wave of Toowoomba comedy. We’re bringing you an absolute heater of a night in April! Headlined by Dusty Rich, Fresh off support international super star Theo Von on his areana tour the comedic space-warrior is stoping by for 1 night only.

KALBAR SUNFLOWER FESTIVAL: 19 -21 APRIL

Imagine one million sunflowers, fine food, long lunches, live music, photography opportunities like no other, heli rides, flower crown creations, yoga & MUCH MORE! ANZAC DAY DAWN SERVICE: 25 APRIL

ANZAC Day is a national day of remembrance in Australia and New Zealand that broadly commemorates all Australian's and New Zealander's 'who served and died in all wars, conflict and peacekeeping operations' and 'the contribution and suffering for all those who have served'. Toowoomba and surrounding residents are encouraged to participate in the Toowoomba City ANZAC Day Dawn Service.

QUEEN BOHEMIAN RHAPSODY: 26 APRIL

Direct from sell-out theatres, Australia's longest running Queen Tribute since 1993, "Bohemian Rhapsody," starring the internationally acclaimed Thomas Crane, returns in 2024 for the brand new show, "Made In Heaven". AUTUMN PICNIC AT THE POLO: 28 APRIL

Join the Downs Polo Club for the upcoming Picnic at the Polo: Autumn Edition, part of the Eagers Shield tournament.
