Taking its cue from Rupert Bunny’s The harem c.1913, this exhibition features artists from the Gallery’s collections whose work embodies their fascination with pattern and decoration. It focuses on links between ornamentation and Asia’s diverse creative histories.

SIXTY: The Journal of Australian Ceramics 60th Anniversary 1962–2022 is a special Australian Design Centre On Tour exhibition project presented in partnership with The Australian Ceramics Association to acknowledge this significant anniversary.

This major exhibition will showcase the work of twenty-two acclaimed ceramic artists from across Australia, including Toowoomba’s own Dan Elborne, and other previous exhibitors such as Pippin Drysdale, Vipoo Srivilasa and Greg Daly.

A Collective exhibition presenting distinctive perspectives and methodologies of three accomplished artists and friends.

Abernethy and Tremewen concentrate on interpreting patterns and shadows encountered in their daily environments, skilfully integrating these observations into their work.

Baxter investigates his surroundings through innovative techniques, placing emphasis on vivid colours and abstract interpretations of everyday life.

Collectively, the artists offer significant expertise and individual insight in their depictions of the world around them.

Contemporary Wearables Biennial Jewellery Award and Exhibition is the focus of Toowoomba Regional Art Gallery's contribution to promoting excellence in contemporary adornment. The award was established in 1989, with the aid of the Toowoomba Gallery Society Inc., and is a forum for experimental and innovative contemporary jewellery and object practice. On display until 23 November 2025.

Colourways is a thought-provoking collaboration between painter AJ Gogas and textile artist Barbara Stephenson combining their shared love of colour and movement.

The Art of Escape brings together three distinct artists - working in ceramics, design and photography - collaboratively responding to the multifaceted theme of escape. Their artworks illuminate personal and collective journeys, inviting exploration into new realms of freedom and transformation.
