Recognised as one of the city’s signature events, The Grammar Art Show returns 27 - 29 March, and is set to attract thousands of people across the weekend.
The major fundraiser of the Toowoomba Grammar School P&F, the 2026 show contains an impressive lineup of artists from across the nation with work available in the physical gallery from Mar-22’s Opening Night Cocktail Party, across the weekend, and online from March 15.
With their past shows seeing sales over $480,000, over 450 pieces of art sold to buyers from across Australia, and opening Night attracting thousands of guests both locally and nationally, 2026 will see over 400 pieces available from 100 hand-picked, sought-after artists - promising to be even more spectacular!
This year’s feature artists are Sophie Gralton & Sarah John. Sarah, originally from Queensland who now lives in Fremantle, WA, is known for her stunning still life, landscape and Australian botanical acrylic paintings, full of soft, natural tones and use of light and shadow. For Monique, a well-loved Toowoomba alum currently in London (and who at times describes her art as “an organised mess), her pieces are a playful capture of life; inspired by everyday items and subjects, masterfully elevated into stunning and striking pieces of fine art.
The show launches Friday Night, 27 March, with a ticketed Cocktail Party, whilst the general exhibition is open Saturday, 28 March and Sunday, 29 March - 9.00am until 4.00pm.
Across the weekend, guests can also enjoy a number of events including High Teas, Art Amongst Friends as well as Sneak Peek events for those eager to get in early.
In the lead-up, the Art Show has also been quietly making its way across the city, with a trail of artworks popping up in 12 local cafés - a small preview of what’s to come, and a reminder that great art can turn up just about anywhere.
Door entry is just $5 (and free for 18’s and under). An on-site café will be open throughout, serving barista-made coffee, light meals and something sweet between laps.
