We’re all missing our local baristas. We need good coffee now more than ever. But if you’re self-isolating and need your fix, you’re in luck – some of our local cafés are selling beans and equipment to set you up at home. It’s a great way to keep supporting them and hold you over until we can all bask in the glory of well-made coffee once again.

Banter coffee kitchen

Stephen Payton at Banter can hook you up with beans from Dukes Coffee in 250g and 1kg amounts. Perfectly ground to whatever machine you’re using, his personal preference is pour-over. He sells a home brew starter kit (a pour-over dripper, filter papers and a stirrer) and offers free delivery to the Toowoomba region.

Burrow

Burrow sells their Allpress Espresso Blend in 250g and 1kg bags. The beans can be ground and are available in compostable packaging, which is an extra win!

Ground Up

Ground Up is selling bags of Blackboard Coffee’s single origin beans. They’ll grind them to however you like to brew at home. Collect your beans in-store.

Sage & Butler

Sage & Butler sells their Single O coffee in 250g and 1kg bags. At the moment, you can also grab a couple of litres of milk in-store while you’re there, or some of Single O’s parachute coffee bags. They’ll even shout you a coffee with your bean purchase.

Sweet Talk

Sweet Talk is selling 500g and 1kg bags of Coffee Supreme, which you can order through their online system and get delivered along with your lunch or dinner.

Six of One

Six of One sell a broad range of their own coffee beans, with a handful of variety to suit your machine - from whole beans to filter coffee - with exciting flavour profiles such as chocolate fudge and guava and pineapple. Bags come in 250g, 500g, and 1kg sizes, and can be purchased in the cafe or online. They’ve also got equipment and tools to allow you to experience their brews at home, or even in the great outdoors! Their Bush Brewing Bundles allow you to brew a coffee over the campfire, while their Big Smoke Bundles include café quality espresso machines, grinders and other necessary equipment.

Total Coffee

Total Coffee has always been the one-stop-shop for home brewing, so they’re well and truly in their comfort zone with this. They’re offering same day shipping on all equipment and beans. If you’re after some advice, send them a message or give them a call and they’ll talk you through flavour profiles and methods. They stock coffee brands such as The Cat’s Pyjamas, Belaroma and Seven Miles.
