You probably haven’t come across a fast food franchise like this before. Zambrero calls itself “Mexican with a Mission”. Their Plate 4 Plate initiative means that for every burrito or bowl you purchase, they donate a meal to someone in need in the developing world (through Rise Against Hunger). Anything purchased from the Grab & Go range directly benefits someone in Australia. They make an extra effort with everything they do – from the RSPCA-approved chicken to the carbon-neutral packaging.

All Zambrero meats are slow-cooked for 18 hours proving that the face of fast-food is definitely changing! The place is designed as a build-your-own-adventure. Choose a base meal – such as nachos or a burrito – and then customise it exactly how you like. All the items have vegan or vegetarian options, and they also have gluten- and dairy-free choices.

As an additional benefit, kids eat free on Mondays. Yeah, we know right? We’ll see you there…
