another weekend, another round of ‘what should we do?’

To help with the decision fatigue, we’ve rounded up some ideas for this weekend. There’s something for everyone, with plenty of Australia Day activities to boot.

SEE: Peta Berghofer’s ceramics exhibition at the Toowoomba Regional Art Gallery.

VISIT: the Jondaryan Woolshed for some family-friendly Australia Day fun, including an animal nursery.

EAT: your weight in Vegemite sandwiches at the Highfields Pioneer Village’s Australia Day festivities. Or try the pig on the spit at Rosalie House.

SHOP: the sales at the Harvey Norman Centre with free rides for the kids. Or make the most of everyone channelling their inner Marie Kondo and snap up some bestsellers at these secondhand bookshops.

DRINK: some coldies at The Spotted Cow or Fitzy’s (depending on your vibe) on Saturday. Or check out the new Southwest Beer Fest, with locally made beers and ciders ready to taste.

PLAY: multiples rounds of Giant Jenga at Bunnyconnellen’s Australia Day picnic.

SUPPORT: local farmers at the Cobb + Co or PCYC markets and the new Toowoomba Market.

LISTEN: to some swing and Latin jazz at the Toowoomba Jazz Society, or some soft jazz as you stock up on plants for your home.

coming up...
