time to get planning

another weekend, another round of ‘what should we do?’

Except this week it’s heading full-ball into Christmas season, so we’ve thrown as many free ideas into the mix as possible!

To help with the decision fatigue, we’ve rounded up some ideas for this weekend. There’s something here for everyone, whether you want Christmas carols, beer or an outdoor movie.

SHOP: at the annual Bush Christmas for some handmade gifts, or stock up on sparklings to get you through the silly season.

SEE: the magic of the Christmas Wonderland, with a community BBQ and live local music.

WIN: a self-care giveaway of organic cold-pressed juices, a massage and a sauna session (why wouldn’t you?!).

EAT: from a round-up of food trucks at Dine Down Town. This month’s market includes a bonus antiques fair! Or enjoy the Phat Burgers pop-up at 4 Brothers Brewing.

EXPERIENCE: the video works of local artist Stephen Denham, or enjoy the annual group exhibition at First Coat Studios.

WATCH: Disney’s new film, ‘Ralph Breaks the Internet’, out in the open air.

LISTEN: to some smooth jazz at Kingfisher Café, or some Mozart at USQ Artsworx. Or sing-along at the Carols by Candlelight at Queens Park.

DRINK: locally-brewed beer at the brand new Volcanic Brewing.

HANG OUT: at the Festive Twilight Markets – do some Christmas shopping, then hang out with a picnic, some live music and lawn games. Try your hand at the annual Paper Plane Flying Competition while you’re there.

RELAX: at Clifford Park while the kids hang out with Santa, or take the family to NGU Real Estate’s free family day at the park.

coming up...
