another weekend, another round of ‘what should we do?’

To help with the decision fatigue, we’ve rounded up some ideas for this weekend. There’s something here for everyone, whether it’s jazz lovers, cocktail lovers, or LEGO lovers.

EAT: at the newly opened George Banks! Toowoomba’s new rooftop bar opens this weekend. Also, eat whatever you feel like at Dine Down Town, a monthly food truck pop-up at St Luke’s. There’s always live music and activities for the kids.

DRINK: a selection of local homebrews and vote for the winner at 4 Brothers Brewing’s Homebrew Hero competition. Come on the Saturday for hot dogs too. Grand Central is also mixing up spring cocktails all day Saturday, with the opportunity to win a $400 gift voucher.

LISTEN: there’s live jazz over lunch at Kingfisher Café at The Springs on Sunday. There’s also live music at Fitzy’s from 2pm on Sunday (#sundaysesh).

DO: see local artist Roslyn Hartwig’s exhibition of Toowoomba scenes at the Royal Bull’s Head Inn.

WATCH: more wizards than you can shake a stick at – The Strand is hosting a Harry Potter movie marathon all weekend. The Grand Central Cinema is also hosting a Disney villains festival, with this weekend showing 101 Dalmatians.

KIDS: Centenary Heights State High School is celebrating their 50th birthday with a community fair. Take the kids along for unlimited rides. There’s also a LEGO workshop for aspiring engineers.

PRACTICE: your French at the casual Café Bla Bla hosting by Alliance Française.
