introducing another new regular feature!

Man, you guys are spoiled. But we needed a place to share all the things we’re loving that otherwise slip through the cracks. So here’s everything we’ve been loving recently, featuring a whole variety of amazing local businesses. Make sure you check them out too!

easy composting

It’s really simple: May will give you a big (closed) bucket for you to put all your food scraps in, and then collect it from you once a fortnight to add to her composting system at Full Circle Farm. It’s such an easy way to start composting – without any of the hard, messy work.

new seeds from settler hives

Just six months into Settler Hives, Hayley and Roger are on a roll. They’ve recently released a whole new range of seeds, including flowers, herbs and garden greens.

You can buy the seeds at Harold’s, or directly through the Settler site.

butt-kicking barre classes

If you’re not yet on the barre bandwagon, strap on your seatbelts. This blend of dance and pilates is full of small, repetitive movements that tone like crazy (and yes, hurt like hell). World Gym has started offering big group classes, or try Pure Pilates for a boutique option.

In case you missed it, we’re launching CreativeMornings in Toowoomba! This awesome monthly event series is all about breakfast and inspiration and community. Everyone is creative. Everyone is welcome.

community book swaps at grand central

How cool is this?! Grand Central have opened a community book swap just outside Myer. Bring a book you’ve finished and swap it out for a new one – for free! If you’re cleaning out your shelves, consider donating the whole lot to share the love.

drink pink wednesdays

Vapiano’s weekly cocktail special is still going strong. These $5 gin babies are incredibly delicious (ask us how we know that…), and support a good cause. All profits are going to Share the Dignity, which gives sanitary products to homeless women.

making bunker coffee at home

Did you know you can buy Bunker’s beans to make coffee at home? They’ll even grind them for you if you don’t have your own system. Quality coffee at home in a few minutes? Yes please!
